about
What do you do with 15 blokes on a tour bus?
15 completely sober Blokes well past the nonsense stage - the partying - the non stop drinking - the drugs - the debauchery usually associated with the fantasy that is being in a touring rock band.
Well - assuming you're not Jeffery Dahmer that is ( who would just wear big 80's glasses and fucking eat everybody)
You talk a lot .
and you listen a lot.
You hear about everyone's life.
Each person's library of memories and war stories is opened for you like an eternal 24/7 'Blockbuster Video' as you travel across shifting tarmacs and drift through the oasis service stations .
Each person's tastes are laid out like a cultural buffet.
Sometimes you get comedy ... sometimes tragedy ... and very often complete fantasy.
And you listen.
That and eat a lot of crisps ..... There's always crisps .
Every so often though you discover through listening ,that despite completely disparate backgrounds, you may indeed have both very similar stories .. and tastes.
This is the product of one of those rare unions.
Because as the lyrical wax poured above the passing miles one day, there was a brief respite and suddenly the background music became ALL foreground for a few seconds, and these immortal words were shared in unison as the playlist held court -
"I fucking LOVE this song ! .. I've always wanted to cover it!"
JINX.
What do you do with a bunch of completely sober blokes on a tour bus that suggest such a thing?
You fucking record it .
That's what .
Duh.
Created only with what was available to hand , begged, stolen or borrowed - this version of a much loved tune by both Scott sorry and Grand theft Audio was recorded entirely on the bus and in dressing rooms during the tour.
It's a tribute to both a shared musical heritage and the esprit des corps of that rolling UK tour, capturing both the energy and positivity of those live dates - our bastardised hat nod to a post punk classic.
We hope it serves as a fitting monument to a truly brilliant time...
...and it damages your hearing slightly.
Enjoy.
Oh .
There's no salt & vinegar crisps left by the way .

I loved some of these first time around, some I was less enamoured with, but this is a great collection and some I was less then enamoured about are now transformed for example Thunderfuck and Bang! Tom take the money is as glorious as ever. Andy Castledine
